Fashion finds online

Yesterday was a bad day. Dissertation. Enough said.
SSSooo, I thought I would begin today with a quick glance through the 'New In' items of beautiful clothing and accessories on net-a-porter. There is never a dull, disappointing or unhappy moment in the world of high-fashion, especially when there are so many amazing designers out there putting forward their ideas for our Spring/Summer dream wardrobe!!

For evening-wear there is this AMAZING Temperley London tattoo dress. I really fell in love with the sheer panelling trend that started coming in at the end of last season and Alice Temperley gives this dress a dark twist with tattoo detailing. Much as I dislike tribal tattoos (especially armbands) in real life, on the collar of this dress it really works due to the polka dot sheer panel which softens the effect. There are also some very cute swallow tattoo designs on the sleeves.
Daytime outfit number one:

Preen lacy silk-blend top (I would buy it in a slightly larger size and so it isn't skin tight. I think the lace panels are provocative enough without being clingy)

Helmut Lang crackled leather panelled shorts. Shorts are really big this season, and according to the Vogue and Bazaar April issues leather ones are what we should be wearing! I think the texture of these Helmut Lang shorts make them a much more interesting alternative to the traditional smooth, butter-soft leather ones which I've seen on Alexa Chung and Kate Moss.

*smile* Miu Miu satin platform pumps. The same style as the flower/cat/nude patterned ones on the runway but in all black making them simpler but far more versatile.
Day-time outfit number two:

Halston heritage (the brand which Sarah-Jessica Parker has just joined!) Metallic linen-blend blazer. Although the pearlescent metallic sheen of this blazer make it quite glamorous you can keep it low-key by leaving it unbuttoned and casual. The over-sized boyfriend cut means that it is best worn with a close fitting top (like the Preen camisole above) and streamlined bottom half. Due to the neutral colour it can be worn with most things, including denim shorts which are another key item this summer.

I was never a particular fan of the harem pant but when I saw the beautiful metallic stripe (very
missoni-esque) detail of these I fell in love! Isabel Marant (THE day-wear designer du jour!) Alamo silk-chiffon pants.

Burberry Prorsum leather platfrom sandals. Edgy, chunky but with the neutral shade of butter-soft leather they will be incredibly versatile.
Other great pieces to update a Spring/Summer wardrobe:

Helmut Lang crackled leather jacket.
The waterfall cut of the front of the jacket makes it modern, yet the soft grey colour makes it a wonderful Summer version of the heavier, black winter leather.
Miu miu large suede hobo bag. Completely sold out online because it is so popular! This would be a great style for summer though, neutral and versatile but interesting colour, the drawstring shape is a key style for Summer bags and the large size means you can fit all your summer needs (shades, book, ipod, notepad, purse, phone) into it.

And to add a much needed splash of colour!! I cannot express how obsessed I am with this shade of emerald green! It reminds me of fresh-cut grass, leprechauns and Ireland. Everything in life that makes you smile! Aubin and Wills Lytham cashmere-blend cardigan. I would wear this with denim shorts, gladiator sandals, a simple camisole and a trilby. Not forgetting the shades! Definitely another piece to be kept unbuttoned and casual.
