I thought I would provide a sneak peak into my jewellery collection, as modelled by my beauteous house-mate Clare Philbin. Several years ago, whilst still at high school, the only jewellery I owned was silver because I thought that the colder metal suited my very pale complexion; but as I've matured (ahem) I've switched teams and discovered the allure of gold.
This is the oversized necklace which I bought in London last weekend. It was very reasonably priced, c.£20 but as such it is quite a shiny, gaudy gold and so I think I will only wear it with block colours to prevent the look becoming too tacky. It's just a bit of fun really!
This is my perennial favourite. A small and delicate gold wishbone- it looks simple and classy alone, or it can be layered with a chunkier gold chain, as shown below, to create more impact.
This Disney couture necklace (bought off ASOS) is a bit of childhood nostalgia. Peter Pan is one of my absolute, all-time, classics and Tinkerbell was my idol- I've dressed up as her on many occasions. I may indulge the inner girl more and splash out on the Cinderella charm bracelet....
This is an incredibly special item of jewellery- a present from my Dad for my 21st birthday. It is antique, over 100 years old, with just the right amount of sparkle from the diamond flower at the centre (bad lighting, I'm sorry you can't see the detail of it). Truly a forever piece.
I WANT THAT WISHBONE. And that antique is gorgeous.
