They don't just come in orange...

Gone are the days when to dress up women had to wear dresses or skirts- the modern woman can rock out a trouser suit, jeans or even more exciting a JUMPSUIT!! I had several floral playsuits which I wore consistently throughout the summer, but who says the fun ends there- the weather may be colder but Spring is on its way, and the layers must be gradually peeled away. A jumpsuit is the perfect transition item for between seasons weather- you can add a top underneath or a cardigan/coat over for when the temperatures drop, and then stride out in heels when the sun starts to shine. Here is a pick of the best (and one of the worst) looks I have come across so far...

Cat Deeley, who is usually seen presenting 'So you think you can dance?' parading in a variety of short'n'shoulders dresses which highlight her amazing legs, is covered up for once and looking super stylish in Stella McCartney S/S10 Resort. As always, I'm loving blondes in cobalt blue.

Another wishlist item from net-a-porter. Alice by Temperley tiger-print cotton jumpsuit. Paired with some strappy black gladiator sandals this would make the perfect city break, shopping outfit. Perhaps teamed with a Kate Moss style black felt trilby.

For glamorous eveningwear you really cannot get better than Givenchy-this heavily embellished emerald green jumpsuit is quirky, glitsy, perfection.

For a slightly more sophisticated look, which I would envisage as being a perfect after work drinks outfit, is this Paul & Joe Reggio silk-blend jumpsuit which creates the illusion of being a 2 piece high waisted tapered trouser and asymetric top. Modern simplicity.

And for a lesson in how not to wear a jumpsuit...denim and dungarees may be back in this season but a combination of both with harem pants?? Denim is too thick and too heavy a material to be incorporated into a drop crotch style, Rihanna usually looks sexy and edgy, and her body is AMAZING but she does it no justice in this frankly atrocious outfit.
