Taylor Momsen, as you may have guessed, is one of my top style icons- and, if I'm being frank, she could well be my life idol. She is the cool, spunky, individual girl from school with the 'don't give a fuck' attitude that I wanted to be. It continually amazes me (and equally annoys me) that she is only 16 and yet has achieved more success with her career and more recognition for her style than I can ever hope to achieve. But, this inspires me- to work harder, and to take risks with clothes and with life choices.
On my rounds of blog reading this morning I came across something which elicited a squeal of delight-on http://www.catwalkqueen.tv/ was the news, and pictures, of Taylor Momsen modelling the Spring/Summer ad campaign for New Look! Affordable and awesome clothes which Taylor herself is wearing!!! It would be safe to say that I shall be buying and wearing everything from this line ASAP!!
I LOVE the styling of knee-high socks with boots- if only I had her twig legs...
I wasn't sure about the prediction that grey sweat-pants would be making an entrance into the world of stylish day-wear but I can kind of see how it works with a white tank and shades- although I would definitely be pairing it with alternative footwear to a tacky pointed stiletto court shoe.
LOVING the sheer panel of the dress! I normally think that hearts on clothing looks 'twee' but this look shows how to work it with an edge.
Embellished sheer tunic top/dress! LOVE. And stripes- you can never go wrong with a classic stripe. But stick to monochrome cream with navy or black stripes.
